From Entrepreneur To Creator: My Curious Journey To Faith Pt.1

Hey Friends!

Welcome to Totally Repurposed—I’m so glad you’re here! My story, From Entrepreneur to Creator: My Curious Journey to Faith, is one of transformation and discovery. I hope it inspires you to find renewed purpose, spark your creativity, and reignite your passion for life.

Whether you’re balancing a full-time career or pouring your heart into being a stay-at-home wife or mom, remember this: God designed YOU with unique talents and a purpose tailored just for you. Isn’t it amazing to think that the Creator of the universe equipped you with gifts meant to glorify Him?

The best way to uncover your purpose is to seek insight from the One who created you. As we walk this journey of purpose—and maybe a little “repurpose”—together, let’s lean into His love and find encouragement in His promises for us as His children.

For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

It’s Probably Demonic Anyway.

A few years ago, my daughter came to me and said, “Mom, look at this.” She pulled out her phone and showed me a series of screenshots she’d saved, all featuring times like 1:11, 4:11, 9:11, and so on. “Every time I look at the clock, it’s always 11 minutes past the hour,” she explained. “I started keeping track of it. Do you think it means anything?”

At first, the whole thing struck me as odd, but I dismissed it quickly. “You shouldn’t give that numerology stuff any attention,” I told her. “It’s probably demonic anyway.” With that, the conversation ended… or so I thought.

About a month later, I started noticing the same thing my daughter had described. Every time I looked at the clock, it seemed to be 11 minutes past the hour. I dismissed it at first, rebuking the thought in my mind, but it kept happening—day after day. I tried to rationalize it, thinking, Maybe I’m just more aware of it now, subconsciously.

But then, things got stranger. The number 11 seemed to follow me everywhere. I saw it on license plates in traffic, on basketball jerseys, on our hotel room door, and even at the grocery store checkout counter. It felt like too much to be coincidence, so I started documenting it, taking screenshots and pictures just like my daughter had.

And then the dreams started—strange, vivid dreams that left me wondering what on earth was happening. “God, what does all of this mean?” I prayed, feeling both puzzled and uneasy. Having always thought of numerology as “demonic,” I couldn’t help but wonder—was this some form of spiritual warfare? Or was there something deeper God wanted me to understand?

Numbers Have Meaning.

As I was praying and talking with the Lord about this, I clearly heard the words, “The enemy is the creator of nothing.”My immediate response was casual: “Yeah, I know,” and I moved on with my day, not thinking much of it.

But the Holy Spirit kept bringing those words back to me, over and over. It was a gentle nudge, reminding me to pause and reflect. I already knew that God is the Creator of all things and that the enemy, incapable of creating anything, simply twists and perverts what God has made.

Then it hit me—like a light bulb turning on in my mind! Suddenly, those words carried a deeper significance, shifting my perspective in a profound way.

The Bible itself is rich with numbers and their symbolic meanings. For example, Noah was on the ark for 40 days and nights, symbolizing a period of testing and preparation. Jesus died and rose from the grave three days later, demonstrating victory and completion. Even the concept of the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—is tied to the number three, representing unity and perfection.

“So what does the number 11 mean in scripture?” I thought.

The Backstory

This is where my journey of repurposing truly began. But first, let me give you a little backstory. Before this shift, my life felt upside-down. At the time, I wasn’t fully aware of the footholds the enemy had in my life, but looking back now, it’s all so clear.

I had bought into the belief that busyness equaled goodness. The busier you were, the closer you were to success, and that is what god wanted his people to be, successful—or so I thought. Success became the ultimate goal, yet for me, it always felt just out of reach. That constant striving left me perpetually dissatisfied with the present.

As a family, we were always on the go—busy with work, sports, and hobbies—but there was no real structure or balance. Chaos and confusion began creeping into our lives, opening the door for the enemy to take hold. This chaos brought seasons where our joy had died, our blessings were lost, and our spiritual lives were slowly being destroyed. The most troubling part? At the time, we were completely unaware of what was happening…Until the day 11 entered my life.

Eleven

In Scripture, the number 11 can symbolize chaos, confusion, and incompleteness—all of which reflected my situation. The Holy Spirit revealed that we had unknowingly opened the door to chaos, leading to confusion and spiritual “unawareness.” For example, Deuteronomy 1:2 notes that an 11-day journey, for the Israelites, from Mount Horeb to Kadesh-Barnea became 40 years of wandering in the desert due to disobedience. This illustrates how chaos can delay transitions and blessings, often without us even realizing it.

As my understanding of 11 deepened, the Holy Spirit highlighted the imbalance in our lives while reminding me that God desires to bring completeness and healing. This is echoed in the story of Judas’ betrayal when the apostles were left as 11—a number symbolizing imperfection—until Matthias was chosen to restore wholeness.

The Lord desires for us to understand His promises of abundant life, healing, and restoration as revealed in Scripture, and to activate our faith in Him. He wants us to recognize Him as our Savior, not only for eternal salvation after death but also for the here and now. The work has already been accomplished—He simply calls us to believe and place our trust in Him.

Although God desires His people to experience success in life, He began reshaping my understanding of what “success” truly means. Ultimately, He does not call us to achieve success amidst chaos, AS THE WORLD WOULD HAVE US TO BELIEVE, but through him and his will.

Although my journey with 11 isn’t entirely complete, I’m grateful to share that the Lord has been faithful in fulfilling His promises of peace and healing in our lives. (check out pt.2 for more of my story) Every so often, the number 11 still appears on my phone screen, serving as a gentle reminder of how the enemy desires to kill, steal and destroy, but that Christ came to give us life more abundant! It also reminds me that peace is precious, and maintaining it requires intentional effort and a heart fixed on God.

Reflection

As you reflect on your life, take a moment to ask the Lord to reveal any unconfessed patterns of sin that may be hindering a long-awaited breakthrough or transition. God had intended for the Israelites to reach the Promised Land in just 11 days, but like many of us, they became distracted by what they lacked and focused on their desires instead of trusting in God’s promises. This misplaced focus prolonged their journey—and it can do the same for us, delaying the blessings He has already prepared for us.

Remember, in John 10:10, God promises abundant life for His children, while the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy it—often through chaos. Hold firmly to this truth and invite the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart, guiding you toward freedom and renewal.

John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
