About Me
welcome to Totally repurposed- a micro blog and creative space where faith meets texture, nostalgia and transformation. “totally” is a playful nod to the 1980s- a decade that shaped my upbringing, aesthetics, and spiritual perspective. from the music and movies to politics and pop culture, the 80s influenced how i see the world and how i tell stories-especially stories of redemption and restoration.
“repurposed” is both my medium and my message. i am a texture artist, breathing new life into forgotten or discarded items-turning them into paintings, pillows, accessories and even designer handbags. just as i layer fabric, paint or texture onto my creations, god has layered grace experience and healing into my life. the result? a life that’s no longer defined by what was, buy buy what it’s become.
Before launching Totally Repurposed,
I spent over 20 years in the beauty industry as a hairstylist, salon owner, and entrepreneur. I loved helping women feel beautiful. But in 2020, everything shifted. I felt God calling me to something deeper—something different. That season felt a lot like a DIY project: taking something familiar and transforming it into something fresh, beautiful, and meaningful.
Currently, I’m a stay-at-home wife and mom to two adult kids. I spend my days helping my husband with his financial firm and diving into all things totally repurposed. We’re in the midst of slowly transforming our home into a peaceful sanctuary—one project at a time.
That’s why Totally Repurposed exists. It’s not just a blog—it’s a creative community for women who want to live with intention, explore their faith, and embrace the beauty of being made new.
If that sounds like you, I’m so happy you’re here.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” – Isaiah 43:19
