IF GOD CAN SPEAK TO US THROUGH DRAMS, CAN THE ENEMY DO THE SAME? THE bible SUGGESTS THAt HE CAN. WHILE SCRIPTURE DOESN’T EXPLICITLY SAY, “SATAN gIVES DREAMS,” IT DOES WARN THAT HE DECEIVES THROUGH FALSE VISIONS, LYING SPIRITS AND COUNTERFEIT WONDERS (2 CORINTHIANS 11:14, 1 KINGS 22:21-23).

FALSE PROPHETS IN JEREMIAH’S TIME CLAIMED TO HAVE DREAMS FROM GOD, BUT HE CALLED THEM DECEITFUL (JEREMIAH 23:25-27). PAUL WARNS THAT SATAN DISGUISES HIMSELF AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT, MEANING NOT EVERY SPIRITUAL DREAM IS FROM GOD (2 CORINTHIANS 11:14)

How do we discern?

✅ test every dream against scripture (1 john 4:1). it’s not from god if:

💡it contradicts god’s truth (PROMISES OF GOD’S WORD)

💡stirs fear (CONTRADICTS GOD’S PROMISES)

💡leads away from christ

God’s VOICE BRINGS CLARITY AND PEACE- SATAN BRINGS CONFUSION AND DECEPTION. NOW ALTHOUGH IT SOUNDS BLACK AND WHITE, EVERY DREAM ISN’T ALWAYS THIS SIMPLE.

✅TEST IT (“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 JOHN 4:1)

✅ PRAY ABOUT IT (“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” PROVERBS 3:5-6)

✅ TRUST THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL REVEAL TRUTH TO YOU. (“BUT THE ADVOCATE, THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHOM THE FATHER WILL SEND IN MY NAME, WILL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS AND WILL REMIND YOU OF EVERYTHING I HAVE SAID TO YOU.” JOHN 14:28)
